ShoWest Female Star: Natalie Portman
ShoWest exhibitors convention will to be held March 13-16 in Las Vegas, and Natalie Portman will be honored as ShoWest Female Star of the Year there.
As Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event said, “Natalie Portman has delivered an impressive array of performances throughout her terrific career, which began in 1994 when she burst onto the scene in the highly regarded ‘The Professional’ opposite Jean Reno.
She has the unique ability to draw deep emotion from audiences as evidenced in such films as ‘Heat,’ ‘Beautiful Girls,’ ‘Where the Heart Is,’ ‘Cold Mountain’ and ‘Closer.”
Portman will stars the Warner Bros. Pictures thriller “V for Vendetta” as a woman rescued by a mysterious masked revolutionary.
Also in Goya’s Ghosts and as she recently appeared in George Lucas’ second “Star Wars” trilogy, culminating with “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.”
