Destiny’s Child Together Again
The women of Destiny’s Child were reunited for a brief moment Tuesday when they came to accept a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As they were awarded the 2,035th star of the Walk, Knolwes said, “We started when we were 9 years old, and here we are getting a Hollywood star. Dreams come true. So thank you all so much for supporting us.”
Knowles and Rowland, from Houston, founded the band in 1991 and its debut album, Destiny’s Child, was a grand success. Among its other hits are “Say My Name,” “Survivor” and “Independent Women (Part I).”
The trio — lead singer Beyonce Knowles and bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams — had disbanded in 2005 in order to follow their own solo careers.
The R&B group disbanded last year to pursue solo careers. Among the group’s biggest hits have been “Say My Name,” “Survivor” and “Independent Women.
