Gene Simmons of the rock group Kiss and a former girlfriend have settled a defamation lawsuit in which she said he made her sound like a “sex-addicted nymphomaniac” during a documentary shown on VH1 rockumentary When KISS Ruled the World.
In order to solve this incident quietly, the two ex-lovers (Simmons and Ward) released a public statement, in which the 55-year old rocker, also author of the “Calling Dr. Love”, offered his sincere apoloigies with involved no payment of money to her to settle this case, so Simmons got off easy and out an end to a lawsuit that was filed in January 2005 in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Ward, 53, was a girlfriend of Simmons’ in the 1970s. She filed the lawsuit in January 2005, alleging that the documentary defamed her by juxtaposing Simmons’ commentary about himself with photographs that included her. Read more!

Ashlee Simpson has apparetly turned down a huge sum of money to pose nude for Playboy. The singer/ actress is said to have turned down an offer of $4 million to pose in Playboy, it is thought that she ‘seriousley considered’ the offer before saying no.
The Milli-Vanilli-ing singer was reportedly offered a whopping US$4 million to strip down for Hugh Hefner’s famous publication. “Ashlee figures she’s never looked better, so this may be the perfect time to do it,” a pal of Simpson’s told In Touch Weekly. “She feels confident and sexy and thinks this is one way for her to separate her image from Jessica’s.”

Although her publicist, Rob Shuter, confirmed she snubbed the opportunity to strip for the mag, a source said that her friends think she’s making a mistake. They reckon it would be a good move, to raise her profile. Read more!

Actress Katie Cassidy has beat out singer Jessica Simpson for the role of Lucy Ewing in the movie based on the `80s TV series, “Dallas.” The “Click” actress was handed the part of Lucy Ewing because film bosses were concerned the other two candidates would act like divas on set and upset the rest of the cast, which includes Jennifer Lopez and John Travolta.
Jessica Simpson wasn’t the only other actress in contention for the role, “Veronica Mars” star Kristin Cavallari was also one of the front runners.

A source told America’s Us Weekly magazine: “Producers wanted to steer clear of the drama and also thought Katie was simply better for the role.”

Naomi Campbell appeared in court yesterday accused of assaulting a former housekeeper with her mobile phone. The model, who could face up to seven years in prison if found guilty, did not speak during the brief pre-trial hearing in New York.
Lawyers for supermodel Naomi Campbell are discussing a possible plea deal with the Manhattan district attorney’s office, a prosecutor told a court today. “There has been no grand jury action at this time. We are talking about a disposition,” assistant District Attorney Shanda Strain, the assistant district attorney told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Evelyn Laporte.

Jamie Foxx entered the show as the top nominee with five bids for BET Awards, which recognize the best in hip-hop, R&B, gospel and music videos, as well as athletes and actors. After three years together, pop balladeer Josh Groban and actress January Jones (American Wedding) have split after dating for three years, his rep, Liz Rosenberg, tells PEOPLE. Other than saying, “They remain friends,” Rosenberg had no further comment. Jones’s rep, Dominique Appel, also had no comment.

Jones, who previously dated Ashton Kutcher, has recently been spotted with her SWEDISH AUTO co-star LUKAS HAAS at a Las Vegas, Nevada, nightclub.

Rush Limbaugh’s attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media. Limbaugh, who works in the radio industry and was a recent subject of a BadGolf.com feature story, was briefly detained Monday at Palm Beach Airport when customs agents inspected the conservative talk-show host’s luggage and found Viagra that belonged to two Florida doctors, authorities said.
A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was “labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes,” Roy Black, Limbaugh’s attorney, said in a statement. Read more!

Playboy Enterprises Inc. will buy Valley-based adult entertainment company Club Jenna, was founded by adult porn actress Jenna Jameson, for an undisclosed amount. Playboy said Thursday that it had paid an undisclosed amount of cash for the hard-core film production company founded by Jameson, one of the world’s most celebrated sex stars.
“I think this is the last piece of the puzzle,” said Christie Hefner, Playboy chief executive. “It’s about wanting to own, rather than license, content.”

Kevin Richardson (33) has split from the pop group The Backstreet Boys to pursue other interest and move on to the chapter in life, according to statements posted on the band’s website on Saturday.
“It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life,” Richardson said in the statement.

The Backstreet Boys broke from the road and recording in 2001 when singer A.J. McLean entered rehab during the group’s “Black and Blue” tour. He rejoined the band in 2005 and they again hit the charts with the release of ‘Never Gone.’ Read more!
