Beyonce Knowles and Mother Sued Over Clothing Line
Beyonce Knowles and her mother, Tina Knowles, have been sued for £800,000 9€1.2m) by a former business associate who claims they neglected to compensate him for securing a deal involving their House of Dereon clothing line. Beyonce and her mother, Tina Knowles, run the House of Dereon clothing line.
The suit, filed in New York State Supreme Court by Greg Walker, CEO of Icon Entertainment, alleges the Knowles hired him in Augugst 2003 to broker a slew of endorsement and marketing agreements, including a $15 million contract with clothing maker Wear Me Apparel Corp.
“Beyonce and Tina Knowles agreed on the terms of our business relationship, but have failed to properly compensate me for reasons unknown to me,” Walker said in a statement. “I just want to receive my fair share and move on with my business.”
Walker said he organized a $15 million deal for the Knowles’ to create a clothing line with Wear Me Apparel, Corp. He says he’s only been paid $25,000 for the job. He’s also suing Wear Me Apparel, Corp. claiming the company hasn’t fully compensated him either.
