Paris Hilton Accused of Hacking Lindsay Lohan’s Voice Mail
Spoofcard.com, a telephone card service provider that provides the privacy-inclined with fake caller ID numbers and voicemail service, has terminated more than 50 customers – including the “Simple Life” Simpleton Paris Hilton account- who they claim used their services to obtain unauthorized access to the mailboxes of Lindsay Lohan and other “well known celebrities” on a national mobile telephone network.
Mark Del Bianco, SpoofCard’s lawyer says, “All of the people that were terminated were terminated because they violated the terms and conditions of use.” The attorney also confirmed Lindsay Lohan was one of the victims of misuse.
Lindsay Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick revealed: “I have turned this matter over to Lindsay’s lawyers”. However, Hilton’s dedicated publicist Elliot Mintz said of Del Bianco’s comments: “The comments do not accuse Paris of violating Lindsay’s voice mail. Her spokesman called the SpoofCard attorney’s statement “misleading and ambiguous,” and denied Hilton had hacked into Lohan’s or anyone else’s voice mail.
“The comments do not accuse Paris of violating Lindsay’s voice mail. “Also, historically, I can’t think of anyone in America who has suffered more public humiliation over the invasion of her privacy as it pertains to communications devices than Paris Hilton.”
Last month, Lohan’s rep told the New York Post that the starlet’s BlackBerry password had been leaked, and someone was sending “disgusting and very mean messages that everyone thought were coming from Lindsay. They weren’t. . . . Some people think Paris may have been involved because the wording of the messages sounds very familiar.”
But the salacious socialite and her diligent rep, Elliot Mintz, categorically denied the allegations.
“I lived through this with Paris two years ago when her Sidekick was hacked into, and the loss of privacy is unbearable,” Mintz said. “But as for any suggestion that Paris would have anything to do with this, that is silly, untrue, and unfortunate.”
A source close to the wireless scandal also told TMZ that Nicky Hilton, Paris’ sis, and Stavros Niarchos, her boytoy, may have been involved.“I have turned this matter over to Lindsay’s lawyers,” Zelnick said, when reached for comment.
“My client has informed me that they are absolutely certain Paris Hilton is involved based on the records that they have,” SpoofCard’s attorney Mark Del Bianco said in a statement. “They have records of all the calls that are made through their service.”
He said SpoofCard will cooperate with any investigation into the hacking and said the company has beefed up security.
“We have taken steps to block access for people using our service to get into Miss Lohan`s voicemail,” he said. “We simply don’t want our service used to do this.”
