Elizabeth Smart Kidnap Suspect Kicked Out of Court
After a long period of seven year-old Elizabeth Smart is going head to head with the man who is accused of keeping her in custody for a horrible period of nine full months.
The sick man kidnapped Elizabeth Smart, when he was in adolescence. The young woman decided to go to Utah for testifying against the abductor and he said the sick man was removed before the courtroom when he was singing out loud a few scriptures.
The federal trial of Elizabeth Smart’s accused kidnapper, street preacher Brian David Mitchell, 57, will begin Monday in Salt Lake, Utah, more than eight years after her terrifying abduction, and two years since Mitchell was indicted on charges of kidnapping the teen and unlawfully transporting her across state lines.
Smart will face her alleged attacker for the first time since the incident occurred when she testifies against him in the trial. She’ll be flying in from France, where she’s been on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The father of Elizabeth Smart stated that her daughter would be pretty happy to see all of this stuff coming to an end and her father would be present in the court for supporting her in this case that has got a bit too late.
The jurors that are in support of Brian shall be putting the logic that he is guilty as he is not mentally stable and the judge has been able to declare Brian competent to stand for the trial after several years of appeal and hearings. There are expectations that this case shall be going around for around a month and around fifty witnesses for the prosecution and the defense is expected to testify. The whole case is center of attraction for the people and the media and its decision would be pretty interesting.
