Pregnant and happily wedded, those are two very good reasons for Lily Allen to smile about.

Allen married her longtime boyfriend, Sam Cooper, on Saturday at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire, England. The blooming bride was dressed in a gown with long lace sleeves and a fishtail skirt, designed by Delphine Manivet, a French designer. After given away by her father, Keith Allen, Lily carried a bouquet of white roses and made her way out of the church with her new husband to a waiting car as a crowd cheered.

After a heartbreaking miscarriage Allen had seven months before her current pregnancy, Cooper at last, can proudly reveal the happy baby news to the wedding guests.

Although the wedding took place in the village of Cranham in the English countryside, the celebration was actually no secret since the date was leaked to the press by an unknown guest, who sent the save-the-date card to British newspapers in March. The leak had made Allen wrote on Twitter that the one who gave out her wedding invitation to the press was no longer invited and to stay at home instead of coming to the celebration. It was obvious to see how furious Allen had been at the time because the leaker gave out a card which amusingly showed both her and Cooper’s faces crudely Photoshopped onto the bodies of a frumpy couple riding a tractor. Both Allen and Cooper were spotted having their wedding rehearsal at the church on Friday, with her Dad played a ukulele to – perhaps – serenade the happy couple.

Sam Cooper, who is a decorator and business owner, proposed Allen during a romantic getaway last Christmas in Bali which later made the singer burst into tears. The couple has been dating since July 2009 and had been having a heartbreaking moment when Allen suffered a miscarriage in the fall, of a baby who had been due in January.
