A federal appeals court upheld the conviction of Martha Stewart and co-defendant Peter Bacanovic on Friday but ruled that Bacanovic’s sentence could be reviewed.اتحادي ايدت محكمة الاستئناف ادانة مارثا ستيوارت وشارك المتهم بيتر باكانوفيك يوم الجمعة لكن حكمت بأن باكانوفيك في الجمله يمكن استعراضها.
She went to jail proclaiming her innocence but said she wanted to get the ordeal over with and would continue to appeal the conviction.ذهبت الى السجن اعلان براءتها ولكنها قالت انها تريد ان تحصل على اكثر من محنة مع وستواصل الطعن في الادانة.
A jury found her and Bacanovic guilty of conspiracy, making false statements and obstruction of justice for lying about a suspicious stock trade.وجدت هيئة محلفين وقالت باكانوفيك بتهمة التآمر وتقديم بيانات كاذبة وعرقلة العدالة الكذب بشأن مشبوهة المخزون التجاري. The jury also found Bacanovic guilty of perjury.كما وجد المحلفون باكانوفيك بتهمة شهادة الزور.
Both were sentenced to five months in jail followed by a two-year period of supervised release, five months of which were to be served in home confinement.كلاهما حكم عليه بالسجن لمدة خمسة اشهر في السجن تلتها فترة سنتين تحت اشراف لمدة خمسة اشهر ، والذي كان يتم في البيوت. Stewart and Bacanovic were ordered to pay fines of $30,000 and $4,000 respectively.ستيوارت باكانوفيك وامرت بدفع غرامة قدرها 30،000 دولار و 4،000 على التوالي.
