Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai was injured during a shooting rehearsal for a historical Hindi film, ‘Guru’, directed by Maniratnam on Friday near Bagalkote in north Karnataka. She got a minor injury in the leg and on her right hand. She was given medical treatment on the spot. Aishwarya was riding a cycle, which crashed into a signpost on the roadside and she got hurt. She is playing the lead role along with Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.
The film Guru is based on the first war of Indian Independence (1857), with a song and dance sequence and wedding scenes at cave temples Badami and Halakatti bungalow. Read more!

As the new spokesmodel for L’Oreal, Scarlett Johansson has signed a $4 million deal, only weeks after her two-year contract with Calvin Klein fragrances ended. Johansson will join the celebrity ranks of Beyonce Knowles, Natalie Imbruglia, Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai, Claudia Schiffer, Andie MacDowell, and Milla Jovovich at L’Oreal and says, “It’s wonderful to be working with L’Oreal, a company that has celebrated independent women for years.
