Naomi Campbell In Court For Assault
Naomi Campbell appeared in court yesterday accused of assaulting a former housekeeper with her mobile phone. The model, who could face up to seven years in prison if found guilty, did not speak during the brief pre-trial hearing in New York.
Lawyers for supermodel Naomi Campbell are discussing a possible plea deal with the Manhattan district attorney’s office, a prosecutor told a court today. “There has been no grand jury action at this time. We are talking about a disposition,” assistant District Attorney Shanda Strain, the assistant district attorney told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Evelyn Laporte.
Campbell, 36, faces a charge of second degree assault after a former maid, Ana Scolavino, accused her of hurling a jewel-encrusted Blackberry emailing device at her head, leaving a 7cm (3in) gash. Read more!
