Another Breaks For Katharine McPhee
Just days after joining the American Idols Live tour following her recovery from bronchitis and laryngitis, Katharine McPhee, the second-place finisher is back on the disabled list after tripping backstage and fracturing her foot before a concert in North Carolina. The “American Idol” runner-up tripped backstage before a performance Tuesday night in Charlotte, N.C., said Roger Widynowski, a representative for McPhee’s record label, RCA.
Katharine McPhee went on with the show, singing two songs while wearing slippers. X-rays taken at a hospital afterward revealed a hairline fracture in her left foot, the Post says. “She’s in discomfort, but she’s fine,” said Roger Widynowski, a spokesman for RCA, “She will continue on the tour and is not defaulting.” Read more!











On Monday Kellie Pickler, bubbly blonde “American Idol” finalist became the fourth season-five finalist to sign a recording contract, inking a deal with Sony BMG’s Nashville-based country label BNA Records and Idol producer Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings Limited. 19 Recordings is also home to fellow Idols Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Ruben Studdard.
The season five Idol runner-up was forced to skip the opening nights of the American Idols Live! tour due to “severe bronchitis and laryngitis,” promoters announced just hours before the start of Wednesday’s sold-out show in Manchester, New Hampshire.
