The “Legally Blonde”, Reese Witherspoon, 30, and the “Flags of Our Fathers” star Ryan Phillippe, 32, are separating after seven years of marriage. The Hollywood golden couple has two children, 7-year-old Ava and 3-year-old Deacon, reportedly met at Witherspoon’s 21st birthday bash in 1997 and announced their engagement in December 1998, and the Cruel Intentions co-stars were married on a South Carolina plantation on June 5, 1999. Their publicist, Nanci Ryder said in a statement issue on Monday, “We are saddened to announce that Reese and Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.”

The publicists gave no more details about the split but the celebrity Web site TMZ.com, which broke the story, reported that Witherspoon has contacted the divorce lawyer who represented Jennifer Aniston, Roseanne Barr and Lisa Marie Presley. Read more!

Tom Cruise got slammed last week in Australia, where he was named winner of the “Celebrity Ernie Award” for a so-called sexist comment that award organizers claim he made. Cruise, who was judged to be the winner in the celebrity list, managed to beat all contenders in his category by a past comment about his then-pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes.
“Tom’s comments that they have attributed to him are completely fabricated,” his rep, Arnold Robinson, tells PEOPLE. “Anyone who knows him knows that he is a complete gentleman and would never ever say such a thing. … He has the utmost respect for women.”

The award organizers cited one of Cruise’s comments from earlier this year, before the actress gave birth to Suri: “I’ve got Katie tucked away so no one will get to us until my child is born.” Read more!

Leslie Bibb has joined the cast of the upcoming Adam McKay-directed and Will Ferrell-starring NASCAR comedy. She’ll be playing Carley Bobby, the wife of Ferrell’s Ricky Bobby character. Leslie Bibb as RB’s wife is a standout — she was always great on Popular and briefly on Nip/Tuck, and after The Skulls I guess she had to wait five or six years for another shot at a blockbuster — and she’s got 70s Hot Chick hair here. John C. Reilly is a pretty natural choice for a Ferrell second banana, and as all the press keeps pointing out, he may be the only actor to appear in two NASCAR movies (he was in Days of Thunder).

Paris Hilton got no love this week from her pet kinkajou Baby Luv — in fact, the raccoon-like animal bit her. The heiress was not badly hurt but did visit a Los Angeles hospital casualty unit to receive a tetanus shot, her publicist, Elliot Mintz, said. Ms Hilton was “frolicking” with the kinkajou, a small, nocturnal rainforest mammal when it bit her on the arm.

The pet, called Baby Luv, sank its teeth into the socialite’s flesh while they were playing at 3 am at Hilton’s Hollywood home. Hilton was frolicking with her exotic pet early Tuesday morning “the way some people play with their cats and dogs” when the animal became excited, Mintz said.
“Baby Luv bit her. It’s a superficial bite on her left arm,” he said. Read more!

80-year-old Playboy Hugh Hefner wants Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman to pose for Playboy, according to reports. was inspired to approach the actress after watching her perform naked in the play The Blue Room in 1999 - which critics described as “theatrical Viagra.”
Hefner said: “She’s bewitching and the vision of her with a cigarette in one hand and her knickers in the other as a delicious French au pair haunts my fantasies. I’d better add that she’s a terrific actress.”

The story claims that Nicole had the club searched, along with the bags of many A-listers, looking for the lost camera.
“Nicole had been experimenting and had a memory card full of sexy nude photos of her and a lot of friends,” says a source. “They’d be embarrassed if they got out.”

Carmen Electra and her guitarist husband Dave Navarro have split up. The couple — who signed up to showcase their relationship on MTV’s “‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave” in 2003 — announced on Monday that they’re “amicably splitting,” reports E!
Although rumors of trouble had circulated for months, the couple always insisted they were fine. Navarro, who has played guitar for Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, even turned out to support Electra at the New York City premiere of Scary Movie 4 on April 10.

On Monday Kellie Pickler, bubbly blonde “American Idol” finalist became the fourth season-five finalist to sign a recording contract, inking a deal with Sony BMG’s Nashville-based country label BNA Records and Idol producer Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings Limited. 19 Recordings is also home to fellow Idols Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Ruben Studdard.
First up for the 20-year-old North Carolina native, whom “Idol” judge Simon Cowell once deemed a “naughty little minx,” will be a single scheduled for release in September. Her debut album will arrive Nov. 14. Pickler is recording the album with producer Blake Chancey in between dates on the current American Idols Live tour.

Helen Fielding, 48, the creative force behind the book “Bridget Jones’ Diary,” welcomed her second child and first daughter on Sunday in Los Angeles, her publicist said on Tuesday. People magazine reported a 6-pound, 3-ounce daughter was born Sunday to the 48-year-old author and her husband, “Simpsons” executive producer Kevin Curran. “Mother and daughter are both doing fine, and everyone is delighted,” the publicist added.

This is the second child for Helen and her longtime partner Kevin Curran, 49 - they also have a son Dashiell, 2 1/2. Curran is an Emmy-winning writer who has worked on The Simpsons, Married with Children and The Late Show with David Letterman. Read more!

Sample, 38, faces a misdemeanor charge of careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.

Oscar winner Holly Hunter is in negotiations to topline the TNT drama series Saving Grace, while Michael Keaton will star in the channel’s six-hour event series The Company. In “Grace,”, she would play a jaded Oklahoma City police detective who is visited by an irascible angel and offered an opportunity to redeem her life after she encounters an angel. The cable network ordered the pilot almost a year ago and signing on to the project would give Hunter her first TV series role.

Nancy Miller wrote the script and will executive produce the pilot for “Grace,” which is expected to begin production shortly. E. Duke Vincent also will executive produce. Fox TV Studios will produce. If picked up for a full season, Saving Grace will debut in the fall. Read more!
