Eminem Divorce Proceeding Behind Closed Doors

Eminem DivorceEminem continued divorce proceedings with his wife, Kimberley Mathers, in a private hearing Thursday. Details of the meeting in Macomb County Circuit Court were not disclosed.
Kimberley Mathers, who is seeking financial support, attorney fees and joint custody of the couple’s 10-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, was seen being escorted out of the building by a sheriff’s deputy.
Her lawyer, Michael J. Smith, declined to comment. A message seeking comment was left Thursday with Eminem’s attorney, Harvey Hauer.

The 33-year-old rapper Eminem got remarried in January after announcing they were getting back together. Eminem filed for divorce 82 days later. Their first marriage lasted from 1999 to 2001. Read more!

Eminem Return To Big Screen In Western

Eminem in MovieEminem has agreed to appear in a new film as a bounty hunter, according to reports. The rap star, who starred in the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile in 2003 to much acclaim, is understood to have agreed to appear in a movie adaptation of an old TV series Western “Have Gun — Will Travel.”
Paramount Pictures has extended an 18-month option on the property to develop it as a vehicle for the Detroit rapper, Daily Variety reported Tuesday. The show debuted on CBS in 1957 and ran until 1963.

The setting could be Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, but those details have yet to be worked out, Variety reports, adding that Paramount has an 18-month option to develop Have Gun as an action drama for Eminem. Read more!

Eminem Ready for Marriage Rerun

A month after announcing they were attempting to reconcile a volatile coupling that originally ended in divorce in 2001, the rap superstar and Kimberly Mathers have filed for a marriage license in their native Macomb County, Michigan, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Kimberly Mathers–who has kept the surname of her former husband, identified on the application by his legal name of Marshall Mathers III–submitted the paperwork Monday afternoon at the county clerk’s office. The license was processed Tuesday and is expected to be picked up today. From that point, they will have 30 days to remarry. Read more!
