Erin McNaught, Australia’s Miss Universe with her porn storm hopeful has been eliminated from the pageant in the first round. The top 20 was announced today at the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant show’s opening but McNaught was not one of them.

Erin McNaught was a favourite among bookmakers leading up to the competition and it was thought McNaught could follow in the footsteps of fellow Australian and former Miss Universe, Jennifer Hawkins. Australian wagering company Centrebet had McNaught at favourite while British bookies had Miss Colombia, Valerie Dominguez as the top pick.

Erin McNaught, the Australia’s controversial Miss Universe entrant has been handpicked to appear on David Letterman’s top-rating talk show with pageant backer billionaire Donald Trump. Ms McNaught, nicknamed “McNaughty” after topless photos were published in an Australian lad’s magazine last month, will guest star with Trump night on the Late Show with David Letterman.
She was just one of four Miss Universe contestants selected to fly to New York to appear on the talkshow, leaving more than 80 other contestants back in LA.

It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks in the US for the 24-year-old Queensland University of Technology student. “I’ve met more celebrities than what I would meet in three lifetimes,” she said after meeting celebrities ranging from Trump to music stars Snoop Dogg, Usher and Brandy, basketballers Paul Pierce and Magic Johnson and Jennifer Lopez’s ex, Cris Judd. AUSTRALIA’S Miss Universe contestant Erin McNaught couldn’t manage a winning smile as she glum when posed for official photographs with other contestants. Perhaps she was worried that Perth’s Australian runner-up Leah Fuhrman would have looked better in her eye-catching bikini which nearly won her the right to represent Australia in the Miss Universe pageant.
