Will Sean Connery Appear in Indiana Jones 4?
George Lucas is hoping that he can tempt actor Sean Connery into reprising his role of Henry Jones in the next Indiana Jones adventure. Sean Connery has recently announced his retirement from acting, so this confrontation might prove interesting. Apparently Lucas is writing Sean Connery into the script “whether he wants to do it or not”.
“I would love him to be in the next Indiana Jones…maybe I can push him into it,” he told Access Hollywood. “We are writing him in whether he wants to do it or not.” George Lucas has told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos he is pushing to get Sean Connery to appear in Indiana Jones 4. The interview airs on Access Hollywood, Friday, June 9, 2006.
Lucas is producing the fourth movie in the franchise as Harrison Ford returns as the whip-cracking archaeologist, and the story apparently involves Indy’s father, Henry Jones. The former Bond actor received a standing ovation from the star-studded audience, which included ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas, as well as legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg and veteran actor Harrison Ford.
