British prosecutors said Thursday they would not charge model Kate Moss over allegations of cocaine use reported in a tabloid newspaper _ despite strong evidence she was using illegal drugs.
The Daily Mirror published pictures in September of the supermodel apparently using cocaine in a west London music studio where her then-boyfriend, musician Pete Doherty, was recording with his group Babyshambles.

“The film footage provides an absolutely clear indication that Ms. Moss was using controlled drugs and providing them to others,” Rene Barclay, the Crown Prosecution Service’s London director of serious casework said in a statement. “However, in the absence of any forensic evidence, or direct eyewitness evidence about the substance in question, its precise nature could not be established.” Read more!

Mega-popstar Madonna will be the new face of Swedish retailers H and M, after the company decided to drop model Kate Moss after her battle with drug allegations late last year. The 47-year-old, who is currently on tour promoting her latest album, ‘Confessions on a Dancefloor,’ will appear in the campaign alongside her dancers.
According to reports, the Swedish store will supply off-stage wardrobes for Madonna, her dancers and the crew on her Confessions world tour. All members of her “Confession Tour” – including the band, dancers and crew – will wear H&M designs.

Madonna says of her new job: “Partnering up with H&M feels like a perfect fit. We’ll all get to express ourselves in our individual ways. The dancers and I are excited to go shopping together.” Read more!

According to CONTACTMUSIC.COM, Academy Award-winning Welsh actress and wife of Michael Douglas, earned $20 million from her contract with T-Mobile, in addition to her own Elizabeth Arden ad campaign.

Next in the list are Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman, who were apparently paid $12 million for their respective St John and Chanel ads. Kate Moss, British supermodel, at the center of a scandal last year after being filmed apparently snorting cocaine, has agreed to publish her autobiography.

A right-hand man of Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Will Whitehorn, said Moss had agreed the terms of a deal with Branson and Virgin Books will publish her autobiography early days, although there was no indication of when the book would appear on the shelves. Kate Moss will defy police demands to return to Britain to face allegations of drug-taking, insisting she’s too busy working. If police want to force her back sooner, they’ll have to speak to her lawyers, one of the her aides insisted. Yet last night, a source said she still intends to return.

“She will come when she has time but she has two or three photoshoots to do first,” the source said. “The police know who her lawyers are and if they want to force her to come back they will have to speak to them rather than the newspapers.
You do have to ask yourself why, when there are so many terrible crimes out there, they seem to be concentrating on Kate Moss. Kate has every intention of returning to Britain, which is her home, when she has a gap in her diary.” Read more!
