Paris Hilton turned down when she refused to accept international chart-topper Don’t Cha, before The Pussycat Dolls recorded it. The hotel heiress was presented with the track, but was not impressed with it, leaving it free for the girl-group made it a global chart-topper. She insists she was only played a rough version of the track which was very different to the single released by the US girl band, but she still wishes she’d snapped it up.
The now turned singer regrettably said: “I think I did hear the song, but not in the format that we all came to know and love. If I’d heard that, of course I’d have jumped at the chance.”














N Sync star Lance Bass has dashed the dreams of many a teenage girl after revealing that he is gay. He said he kept quiet about it for the benefit of the other guys. “I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys’ careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything,” he told People. American rock band Weezer’s indefinite hiatus looks set to turn into a permanent split, according to comments made by front man Rivers Cuomo. In an interview with MTV News in the US, the bespectacled vocalist said that as it stands Weezer have finished. “For the moment we are done,” said Rivers. “And I’m not certain we’ll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one.” He added: “All this year, I’ve been feeling pretty creative and excited, so I’ve been writing a lot. I don’t know what’ll happen with these songs - if anything - I just sort of write them and I can’t stop. I certainly don’t see them becoming Weezer songs, and I don’t really see the point of a solo career. So we’ll just have to wait and see.”
